Giftly – User Guide

Everything you need to get Giftly running on your Shopify store.

Giftly is created by ESTS (Expound Coderz).
It helps you automatically add free gifts, rewards, discounts, or popup offers when customers meet specific cart conditions.

Turn your cart activity into conversions. 


 1. Install Giftly from Shopify App Store

  Steps:

  1. Log in to Shopify Admin.

  2. Go to Shopify App Store.

  3. Search for Giftly – Auto Add Gifts & Rewards.

  4. Click Add app.

  5. Click Install app to authorize.

  6. Approve the plan from the billing page.

  7. After installation, open Giftly from the Apps section.

      You will land on the Dashboard screen.



2. Understanding the Dashboard

When you open Giftly, you’ll see:

  • Total Rules

  • Active Rules

  • Total Orders

  • Revenue

  • Quick Actions

  • App Status

From here you can:

  • Create rules

  • Monitor performance

  • Upgrade plan

  • Configure settings


3. Create Your First Auto-Add Rule

Rules define WHEN and WHAT gift is added.

Steps:

  1. Go to Active Rules

  2. Click Create rule

  3. Enter a Rule Name
    Example:

    • Orders above $100 gift

    • Buy 2 Get 1 Free

    • B2B Special Reward


Step 1: Set Trigger Condition

Choose when rule should activate.

Options include:

  • Cart includes specific product

  • Cart value exceeds $X

  • Quantity required

Example:

  • Cart value ≥ $50

  • Buy 2 products

  • Cart includes Product X

     Select products or set cart value.


Step 2: Set Reward Action

Choose what happens when trigger fires.

Options:

  • Silently add reward to cart

  • Show popup for customer to choose

Then choose:

  • Discount Type

    • Free Gift (100% off)

    • Percentage discount

    • Fixed amount discount

  • Reward quantity

Select reward products.

Click Save rule

Your rule is now Active 


4. Rule Advanced Options

Inside Create Rule screen you can configure:

 Schedule

  • Set active date range

  • Perfect for seasonal promotions

 Targeting

  • Filter by customer tags (VIP, B2B)

  • Restrict to specific countries

 Notifications

  • Alert shoppers of available reward

  • Show goal progress bar

 Cart Behavior

  • Lock reward quantity

  • Hide remove button

  • Hide quantity controls

  • Allow repeated triggers

 A/B Testing (Pro Plan)

  • Add A/B Test Group ID

  • Test multiple rule variations

 Usage Limit

  • Cap total redemptions

  • Set maximum redemption limit


5. Monitor Performance

Go to Active Rules

Each rule shows:

  • Views

  • Triggers

  • Conversions

  • Revenue

Use this data to optimize offers.




6. Settings Page

Go to Settings tab.

You can:

  • Enable / Disable Giftly globally

  • Allow rules to stack (multiple rewards together)

Click Save after changes.


7. Enable Giftly in Your Theme (VERY IMPORTANT)

⚠ If you skip this step, rules will NOT work on the storefront.

Steps:

  1. Go to Online Store → Themes

  2. Click Customize on your active theme.

  3. Click App embeds (left sidebar).

  4. Find Giftly Popup

  5. Toggle it ON

  6. Click Save

Now Giftly is connected to your storefront.




8. Test on Storefront

Go to your store frontend.

Add products that match the rule.

You will see:

 "You've unlocked a reward!" popup

Customer can:

  • Select reward

  • Add to cart

  • See discounted price

Reward will appear in cart and checkout.



Troubleshooting

If reward is not showing:

✔ Check rule is Active
✔ Check theme embed is ON
✔ Check cart conditions are correct
✔ Make sure reward product is available

Setup Complete

Congratulations ! 🎉
Giftly is now active on your store.
