This app lets merchants hide products from specific
customers. Create rules by selecting products or product tags and target
customers by selection or customer tags. Show a custom message or redirect
customers when a product is restricted. Manage rules from a central page with
clear status and editing options. Features: Product selection, Product tag

Prerequisites
- The app is installed.
- The app embed is enabled in the theme.
Enable the App Embed
1. Go to Online Store.
2. Click Themes.
3. Click Customize on your current theme.
4. Open App embeds.
5. Enable Restrict Products.
6. Click Save.
Create a Rule
1. Open the Rules page.
2. Click New Rule.
3. Enter a Rule name.
4. Choose a Message style.
5. Under Products, choose Selected products or By
tag.
6. Under Customers, choose Specific customers or By
tag.
7. Choose Message or Redirect.
8. Enter a message or select a redirect page.
9. Click Save.
Product Options
- Selected products: Open the picker and choose
products.
- By tag: Open the tag picker and select one or more
tags.
Customer Options
- Specific customers: Open the picker and choose
customers.
- By tag: Open the tag picker and select one or more
tags.
Message Styles
- Modal overlay
- Inline card
- Illustrated callout
Redirect Option
- Choose a page to redirect restricted
customers.
Edit a Rule
1. In Saved Rules, click Edit.
2. Update the rule settings.
3. Click Save.
Delete a Rule
1. In Saved Rules, click the trash icon.
2. Confirm Remove.
Test a Rule
1. Open a restricted product as a targeted
customer.
2. Confirm the message or redirect appears.
Notes
- Tag‑based rules apply to products or customers that match
the selected tags when you save.
- If you add new tags later, update the rule to include
them.
Troubleshooting
- Rule not working: Make sure the app embed is
enabled.
- No tags listed: Confirm products or customers have tags in
Shopify.
- Redirect not working: Select a page and save
again.
- Can’t save: Ensure at least one product or customer (or
tag) is selected.
