DimenAI – Shopify User Guide

Welcome to another innovation by ESTS (Expound Coderz). This guide will help you seamlessly integrate your Shopify store with multiple shipping services including UPS, USPS, FedEx, and Australian Post. Our app simplifies dimensional shipping, real-time rate calculation, and label generation.

Overview

The Dimensional Shipping UPS Auth app is a third-party Shopify application that connects your store to leading shipping carriers. You can calculate real-time rates, generate labels, and track shipments directly within Shopify — ensuring a smooth shipping experience for you and your customers.

Installation

To install the Dimensional Shipping UPS Auth app:

1. Log in to your Shopify Admin.

2. Open the Shopify App Store and search for “Dimensional Shipping UPS Auth.”

3. Click ‘Add app’ and follow the prompts.

4. Authorize installation by clicking ‘Install app.’

5. Select and approve your preferred billing plan to activate the app.

Once installed, you can access the app from the ‘Apps’ section of your Shopify Admin.

Configuration

After installation, you’ll configure your shipping carriers and boxes. Follow the setup sections below:

1. Configure Packages (Boxes)

Navigate to the ‘Order Package’ page. You can create a box manually or upload a CSV file. Ensure your CSV matches the sample format by downloading it via the “Download Sample CSV” button.



After boxes are added, you’ll see a list of all packages with options to Edit or Delete. Note: The default box cannot be deleted but can be modified.


2. UPS Setup

To configure UPS:

Navigate to the UPS tab.

Under the ‘Connect’ tab, enter your UPS Account Number, Client ID, and Client Secret.

Click ‘Create UPS Access Token’ to generate your access token.

Click ‘Connect’ to save your credentials.


Under the ‘Address’ tab, fill in your shipper details and click ‘Save.’



In the ‘Settings’ tab, configure app preferences (App Status, API Mode, Container Type, Destination, etc.) and click ‘Save.’



Once configured, UPS rates will appear on the Shopify checkout page.

3. USPS Setup

Navigate to the USPS tab.

In the ‘Connect’ tab, enter your USPS Account No., Client ID, and Client Secret.

Click ‘Create USPS Access Token’ then ‘Connect.’


Under ‘Address,’ fill in shipper details (Name, Address, City, etc.) and click ‘Save.’


In ‘Settings,’ configure your options (App Status, API Mode, Handling Fees, etc.) and click ‘Save.’


Once configured, USPS rates will appear on the Shopify checkout page.


4. FedEx Setup

Navigate to the FedEx tab.

Under ‘Connect,’ enter FedEx Account Number, Client ID, and Client Secret.

Click ‘Create FedEx Access Token,’ then click ‘Connect.’


Fill in your shipper address information under the ‘Address’ tab and click ‘Save.’


Configure rate settings in the ‘Settings’ tab (App Status, API Mode, etc.) and click ‘Save.’


Ensure that the customer phone number field is set to ‘Required’ in Shopify checkout settings for label creation.


FedEx rates will appear on checkout once setup is complete.

5. Australia Post Setup

Navigate to the Australian Post tab.

Enter your Australian Post Client ID under the ‘Connect’ tab and click ‘Connect.’


In ‘Settings,’ configure preferences (App Status, API Mode, etc.) and click ‘Save.’


Australian Post rates will appear on checkout once setup is complete.


Order Fulfillment

To create and manage shipments, navigate to the ‘Order Shipment’ page or use the Shopify Order page integration.



Open your Shopify Order page and click the order you want to ship.


Click ‘More Actions’ → ‘Get Shipment’ to open it in the app.


Review the automatically assigned box and available shipping services.


Click ‘Get Rates’ to view carrier options and prices.


Select the preferred service and click ‘Create Shipping Label.’




Your label will be generated along with a tracking number.
